For those looking to design a Giovanni for a chronicle shouldn't look any further. With any luck I'll give you a run down on the numerous character templates normally found within the clan

Now normally when one thinks of the Giovanni they immediately think "crime boss" or Mafia. Let them, it's not a big deal. If they want to overestimate you then by all means let them. The Giovanni are necromancers first and foremost by wide in the clan and being Mafia usually comes second.

Now first we have the Giovanni businessmen and women. Like most all Giovanni these are the most fashionable of the lot. Always and I mean always looking respectable, well kept and carry themselves like they own more in life than they're letting on. Most Giovanni involved in the businesses can be found heading up teamster unions and various other blue collar upper middle class jobs and/or offices

Then this brings us to "the hitman". Professional killers working for the highest bidder. Now while you might say "why hire a Giovanni when the Assamites are the known killers of the kindred" and I'd say "because not only can we see things they can't, our necromancy allows us to keep him from coming back to -haunt- the men who hired us" Again though, any Giovanni taking this role still finds the dress code very much the same. We aren't bloody killers, we're respectable business people right?

Now before we get a bunch of wolf whistles and cries of raiding some crusty tomb with a scantily clad woman bear in mind that Paleontology and Archeology run rampant in the family as of the late 1800's as both skills lend themselves to arcane knowledge that we look for (we're necromancers remember?). And again, who are we to dispel stereotypes? If a bunch of idiot Tremere, Lasombra, Nosferatu etc. want to view us as a bunch of robust chested , fire arm wielding, old english speakin, women with nothing better to do than dress fashionably to raid tombs, or fedora wearin, bullwhip carrying, unshaven buffoons who lose artifacts in their own museums, why change that? We've achieved much with their oversights.

And where would the Giovanni be without it's fabled Necromancer? Masters of the dead and of the soul we have no equal. With the use of our native Necromancy and the incomparable Thaumaturgy we are truly a force to be reconded with. Many a man have been driven insane after viewing the handy work of the Giovanni. Horses heads in your bed? Hell, we make em talk. Spinning heads on bizarre women, bleeding walls, demons, and spirits enough to make the wicked witch of the west wet her moo moo and shit shingles.

Our Necromantic side of the family(around 80-90 percent) tend to be the most influential and the most powerful. After all Necromancy is in our roots.

Others:

We do run with many other types of family and depending on where you're at will show just what kind of lifestyle some of us lead. By far and wide you'll find that we are businessmen and women. But we have our fair share of dilettante, slaves, blue collar workers, novelists (ever wonder where a mook like Steven King came from? sure as hell wasn't a Tore-whore) rebels, artists (yeah we do have a few), Mafia, etc.

One overriding factor in a majority of the family is unless the punk ass kid dropped out, most of the family makes sure their kids and childer are well schooled and trained in something they can live from or make a living from for a long time.
